Purpose of This Notice

This page describes how the website is managed with regard to the processing of personal data of users who consult it.

In accordance with Legislative Decree 196/2003 (hereinafter “Privacy Code”) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”), this site aims to ensure the privacy and security of each visitor’s personal data, in line with the provisions of this policy.

This information is also provided pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – the Personal Data Protection Code – to those who interact with the web services of the Italian Data Protection Authority, accessible electronically from the address:

This policy applies only to the Authority’s website and not to other websites that may be accessed by users through links.

The policy also draws from Recommendation no. 2/2001, adopted on May 17, 2001, by the European data protection authorities – assembled in the Group established under Article 29 of Directive no. 95/46/EC – to identify certain minimum requirements for the online collection of personal data. In particular, it addresses the methods, timing, and nature of the information that data controllers must provide to users when they access web pages, regardless of the purposes of the connection.

DATA PROCESSOR

Federico di Nuzzo has been designated as the Data Processor pursuant to Article 29 of the Personal Data Protection Code, as he is in charge of the technical maintenance of the site.

LOCATION OF DATA PROCESSING

The data processing related to the web services of this site takes place at the aforementioned headquarters of the Authority and is handled solely by technical staff in charge of processing.

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Browsing Data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website collect, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

These data are not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but by their very nature, could allow users to be identified through processing and associations with data held by third parties.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the response status (successful, error, etc.), and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

These data are used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its proper functioning and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to determine responsibility in case of potential cyber crimes against the site; except for this eventuality, web contact data does not persist for more than seven days.

Data Voluntarily Provided by the User

The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.

Specific summary information will be progressively displayed or made available on the pages of the site dedicated to particular on-demand services.

OPTIONAL NATURE OF DATA PROVISION

Apart from what is specified for browsing data, the user is free to provide the personal data indicated in the request forms or otherwise indicated in contacts with the Authority to request newsletters, informative materials, or other communications.

Failure to provide such data may make it impossible to obtain the requested services.

For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that in some cases (not part of the ordinary management of this site), the Authority may request information under Article 157 of the Personal Data Protection Code for the purpose of monitoring personal data processing. In such cases, providing a response is mandatory under penalty of administrative sanctions.

METHODS OF PROCESSING

Personal data are processed using automated tools strictly for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected.

Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, and unauthorized access.

DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

Individuals to whom the personal data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of the data and to know their content and origin, verify their accuracy, or request their integration, update, or correction (Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Code).

Under the same article, users have the right to request the deletion, anonymization, or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as to oppose their processing for legitimate reasons.
